Hyperstrada/Hypermotard Ducati Performance Alarm

I have one installed. I ordered it with a bike. It works well but it's not a best in class. Manual says it should to yield once you touch a bike. It does not when you do it gently in spite of most highest sensitivity choosen.

Thank you for replying. Appreciate. When you have time, can you post a picture of the control box? I am curious to see where will it be installed at

It mounts on top of the Computer control under the seat. You must remove the tool kit for it to fit

I have one but with some problems.
Seems that it fall in some kind of sleep mode after a certain amount of time (>12hr).
Alarm is still working (with a slight delay) but the remote control do not work anymore at least up till the alarm is triggered.
The alarm central unit will be replaced soon.

I've been considering something like this as a possibility if I end up deciding to purchase a HS and have to store it outside of my garage. For those of you who already have it, do you feel it would be sufficient for this type of scenario?

I was reading the online manual that you have to get the dealer to use diagnostic machine to do some setting so that the bike will work with the alarm.

Is it true??

Very late answer but yes, you are right. The HS computer need to be told that there is a alarm system.

thanks for reply. had fixed it up.

Yep! love the integration between the alarm and the computer. ^_^

I have the Ducati Alarm installed on my 2013 Hypermotard SP. Just wondering what everyones experiences are. I purchased it because it integrates with the bike perfectly but so far it does not seem too work all that well for me... To a point where it think its defective, or not installed properly.

When I shut the bike off and arm the bike I have a hard time triggering the alarm. I can actually lift the bike off the side stand, shake it, and roll it around the garage without triggering the alarm.

The only way I have been able to trigger the alarm is if I try to remove the seat, or hit the seat with my hand.

I've read through the manual thinking it was the alarm sensitivity, Turns out you can adjust it (key on and use the key fob buttons to scroll through sensitivity levels) but it changes nothing.

Just wondering what other experiences are before I bring it in to the dealer.

Thanks.

You should bring it to the dealer. Most probably didn't install properly or it is faulty. Get someone to video you pushing the bike out of garage without even activating the alarm.

After 36 hours, the alarm will go into battery saving mode. There is where hard knock on the top box, seat, front rotor etc will re-activate the alarm

I have adjusted the sensitivity to high before. Boy, it was really sensitive to touch. Had it tone down to one level

Thanks for the reply. Do you adjust the sensitivity just like the book says? Turn the key on and use the two upper buttons on the remote to go up and down?

Thats right. I followed the manual.

Hi,

by any chance do you have an e-manual for the alarm ?
I have one on my Hypermotard but I don't have the manual.

Right but it is very tricky. I tried it several times myself but nothing happened.
It needs a special timing to work. You may have to find the timing for 10 minutes :p

HI All, I have one of these fitted on a hyperstrada, it was working fine but after disconnecting the battery it doesnt work at all anymore, after reading the above I'm wondering if the ECU needs resetting? Anyone any experience of this?
