If you think you are been monitored by the cops; don't answer... lol

Do you think it's an Hooligan bike and why?

Actually I'll add to this, I finally took my WR501 Supermotard for its first ride of the season today after owning and exclusively riding the Strada... In a total of about 15-20 minutes worth of riding, I felt compelled to either stoppie, catwalk, or let the tail hang out on every corner. There's just something about the vibrations from a big single and the Brap Brap Brap Pop Pop that made me turn instantly into an actual hooligan... Jumping curbs and looking for steps to ride on..

Then I went home and got on the Strada, and the comfy seat, soft suspension, no vibrations, refined throttle feel made me instantly calm down and turn back into a normal motorist that can take a corner at breakneck speeds. Yes on the Strada, you can do almost everything that I can on the WR (except the jumping).. However the Strada doesn't possess you into doing it like a true fully built Supermoto.

So.. To your original question, is the HM/HS a hooligan bike.. To someone coming from a sporty or cruiser, it probably does feel that way. However someone coming from a Supermoto, it feels more like a really nimble road bike with traits that make you smile.

It is compared to more relaxed bikes. I never really feel the need to keep it at ridiculously high speeds for long periods of time, but I do enjoy cornering it hard whenever possible. There's no temptation of riding it up and down steps, and wheelies on it just aren't as satisfying as some other bikes (see Monster remark below). Putting the stock Hypermotard seat on the bike makes it worse as it doesn't lock me in place like the Strada's seat does.

With that said, my '06 Monster 1000 encourages far more reckless behavior.

I dunno...Im still breaking mine in....but we'll find out soon enough!
