Oh nice, i have heard good things about Thunderbolts Way. If it wasnt so soon after my trip i would tag along. Do you plan ahead routes and places to stay or do you just wing it?
Snowy trip is just a thought right now, i havent really looked much into it just yet.

Yes plan the routes and fuel stops. I plan some motels, especially if I have a long day on the bike planned but am also happy to camp and this gives great flexibility.

Latest crap tastic iPhone photo from the other day.. Wishing I had my SLR with me..

Picked up my Hyperstrada a few weeks ago after riding the other Italian (Brutale). Went Hyper as I can have 2 bikes in one. Strada for touring and Motard for the city traffic commute :)

an ugly one :D

I think it looks quite good and boy it functions great! Just came back from a 1400 mile trip.....awesome being able to go to the track one weekend and going on a multi day trip the next.

If it actually does its job, i dont care how it looks. For longer rides, anything helps. For everyday riding, I'm happy with my ducati carbon screen

A few mods from stock:
Fabbri windscreen
LED Headlight
LED fogs on the radiator
Kappa rear rack (same as givi but cheaper)
renthal grips (ducati heated pads underneath)
888 tank decals

Mods/parts on the way:
Kappa KGR46 top case
evotech rad guard kit
sprint air filter/corse intake lid

Mods in the plans:
Ducabike steering stabilizer
Rapidbike Evo chip
Comp Werkes exhaust
nichols lightweight flywheel

I did my best to set this thing up for a touring bike, but I still want it to be "fun", hence the few performance mods.

Ducabike steering stabilizer
Let us know how you get on with that one please! I very nearly bought the Ducabike mount but read a lot of horror stories about fitment. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle in the end, but if you have a good run with it I'll give it a rethink!!
