1st Ride after lockdown

Couple pics from my ride yesterday. Smoke from the wildfires had kind of cleared out the last week but I could see & smell it blowing back in as I got closer to home.

I mounted one of my 998 wheels to see how it would look, then went for a ride to Algonquin Park to see the fall colours.

998 wheels fit?? do the fronts fit as well? I had no idea

I've got a 996 in need of some MAJOR engine work, but it has a near-new set of Battlax BT16s on 'em... Hmmm...

Just the rear. The 998 front has a 6-bolt hub so it won't bolt on, and I haven't even considered the rotor offset.

Then again, it might be possible with work. Biggest hurdle would be the ABS/speed sensor ring and aligning the rotor.

OK, now you got me thinking. Here's what I found:

The rotors are both 320 mm diameter, but the Hyper's offset is 0.25 mm more than the 998. I'm hoping this is a negligible amount, because that would mean the major stumbling block would be a 6-hole speed sensor ring.

On my exhaust? Not that I'm aware of. Simple black, but end tip is carbon. The slip on is LeoVince Nero.
