Hyperstrada wind protection, frontal area

Has anybody tried the longer windsheild? I'm 6'0 and wondering if it makes any difference...

Very cool! I like how you confirm the dimensions are the same using the front axle to the top of the tire. One thing to consider is the seat and handle bar position, the hyper handle bars are where the others mirrors went.

My biggest problem with the stock windscreen is that it takes all the wind and directs it right under my helmet. This makes for very loud wind noise inside the helmet. I've been considering removing the riser spacers to get a little more lean angle. Hoping that will direct wind over the helmet a little better. I haven't tried the extended windscreen yet, but am nervous it will be a waste of money.

When I got my Hyperstrada last week after my testdrives before with the normal windshield, I felt like I wanted the bigger one too. I drove 3 days with the standard then when I had to wait for the delivery and I really got used to it.
My new helmet - Nolan N44 - has some nice wind deflectors on the chin and was much quieter than my N90 before. With the N90 I heard nasty wind screams from 100 km/h+ and with the new one it was from 130 km/h+ which is ok for non-integral helmets I think.
The windshield arrived and I immediately installed it - looks great. But apart from the protection of the chest which works well, I get the problem which you have with the normal one, now. The wind hits my helmet in a way that the noise get louder on slower speeds than before. Already thought of detaching it again and putting on the old one.
Of course it all depends on one's size - I'm 187cm (6.135 ft) tall. Try it before you buy it or give it back if it doesn't work for you.

I have the Ducati optional taller windshield on mine & find it at least as effective as my older multi was, which also had the DP optional larger screen on it. I love it! I'm only 5'9" tho so u taller guys may want more.

I rode two days with stock shield and put on the tall one. I think the bike should come with the tall one. It is not much bigger but helps and I have a few thousand miles on it now commuting and riding around town. I would prefer a little more but it has been fine. The aftermarket probably has something now. I pre-ordered bike so I had it first weekend available and only option was Ducati tall screen. I am 5' 8"

I'm 6'3" (190.5cm) and wear an Icon Variant (dual-sport helmet with the focus towards street). I don't know if I'd notice a change in the wind under the helmet, but I get zero airflow into the helmet from the stock screen at 55-65mph.

My issue is that I weigh 165lbs and having the stock bags on helps crosswinds throw me across the road. I rode with them to work to do a weekly food run home, and a fellow rider that I work with gave the "Those are huge!" comment during lunch. I'd really like a low-profile bag that takes the outer half and slims it down, just enough for a large magazine or laptop's depth. Same inner half, same zipper, same everything else.

Just chuckle with your friend as you put your groceries in one bag and pull your rain gear out of the other...

They do catch a lot of turbulence. For me it's worth the load carried. Actually, I want the top box too.
