Impossible neutral

Hi all when I picked up my new hyperstrada the dealer had to switch the engine off to find neutral. He told me the gears are tight and by 200 km it would be fine. The bike is now nearly on 250 km and only a slight improvement in that I can find neutral when rolling. But still impossible when stationery.

Has anybody else had this experience? This is my first new bike so I am not sure if this is just par for the course.

Thanks
Arif

Check your clutch adjustment. The only time I had trouble slipping into neutral was when I messed with the play in my clutch. The Strada really, really likes its factory 2-4mm of clutch play.

Thanks guys I tried to adjust the clutch and although felt it in the lever there was no impact on neutral hoping do get some riding in next week so should get it in for its 1000km service the following i will see what they say

Yup - after a service that included clutch adjustment, neutral is much easier to engage. Honestly don't use it much, but when you need it it's nice to have.

had the problem with the clutch twice.

At first it was my clutch-cable which was nearly broken so the clutch could not be adjusted right anymore.

Second time I could not switch into neutral when the Bike was standing still. Had to switch while I was roling to the traffic light or switch the bike off. This was a hardware problem - the "neutral-switch" near the gearbox was abraded/polished so even the Bike was not telling me when I was in neutral.

Sometimes it was in neutral but the "N" light in the cockpit wont light.
