However, when it comes, I will be sure to post pictures of it at a beautiful beach in Hawaii!
Until a week ago, I had a 2009 Multistrada 1100s that I adored, and that I rode across country every June. It got demolished, so I'm ooking for a replacement, and am considering the HyperStrada. You guys have any impressions about long-distance touring on it?
I'm a little concerned about the non-waterproof bags, smaller tank, windshield, and current lack of options, but I'd love to hear if you guys think its a reasonable option. The Multi 1200 is a great ride, but it's just so damn big. The hyperstrada feels closer to the size of my old 1100.
I rode my 2010 streetfighter (1098cc) 80 miles to the dealer in Denver to pick up my Hyperstrada. I can tell you that I was VERY impressed on my way back from the dealership. The strada is SO much more confortable and user-friendly than the SF. Of course the engine doesn't pull as hard as the SF, but it is more than enough to have fun on. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!! Even in the twisties, I think the strada is more fun. For someone who grew up riding dirt bikes, the strada is a prefect bike.
I plan on getting some more dirt-worthy tires for a long dual-sport trip. Any ideas? TKC 80? It's hard to find something that will fit the wide rear rim. I setup the "urban" mode for dirt roads: DTC zero, ABS off and throttle response to low. Would you do something different?
It was cold here yesterday, and it would have been nice to know that the bike came with heated grips! My salesperson had ZERO knowledge of the bike.
3. Wish it had a fuel gauge. Not necessary, but nice to have.
Heel for me.I wonder are you guys useing your toe to acuate the side stand or your heal?
@usmcstrada : I had also a few times a red flashing ligth on the dash but it's not always from high revs after a falls neutral but mostley from a working tractioncontrol!
