Mini carbon windscreen?

So I was wondering if anyone know where to pick one of these up for a reasonable price? I've seen a couple on ebay from sellers in china and I'm leery of those to say the least. Would like to know who makes a quality part for a decent price? Also need to know if I will need to purchase some sort of mount/bracket to attach it or if I can use stock mounting hardware? Any help is appreciated!

I've done a little searching around and I've seen 2 I'm interested in. One is a bit taller than the other.

Pics of what I'm looking for...

This is basically a cover, not really a windscreen

This one is a bit bigger and seems to sit a bit higher

I have the Ducati part pictured. Very worth it. The hyperstrada screen just directed air right at my head but the DP one keeps it off my chest without knocking my head around.

You could either buy the DP one (very high quality carbon) which comes with the hyperstrada windscreen brackets or cobble something together with the hyperstrada brackets and a Chinese carbon screen like this: http://www.carbonhouse.it/en/hypermotard-821-939/460-windshield.html

Edit: if you have a hyperstrada, then it's pretty moot...no brackets needed.

The website you gave a link to says "this product is no longer in stock". Do you know of anyone else who sells it? Also, if you buy that part you use the mounting hardware used to mount the stock windscreen?

bought the bigger one at motocomposite.com

Do you have a strada or motard? Did you have to buy anything extra to mount it?

Sorry for so many questions guys. I haven't been able to find definitive answers on how these things mount and what hardware is or isn't needed to do it. Or where to get a quality part for a decent price. I'm honestly not looking to spend a few hundred on a tiny windscreen lol. Thanks!

Most of the European sources for aftermarket carbon are just reselling Chinese carbon. Look for parts that have a matte finish and are full carbon, not fiberglass and carbon. The windscreen uses the stock hyperstrada hardware to mount

It was something like this:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Ducati-Hype...956374?hash=item4b64754d96:g:Ss0AAOSwThVc3LnP

It was a while back so I don't have the record anymore

Thanks for the link. Now I'm not sure which one I want to get.

The super small one,

OR

The one that's a bit taller,
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ducati-Hyp...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Leaning towards the smaller one. Plus it's sort of local to me(only 90 minutes away) so I feel a bit better supporting local businesses.

If you're going smaller, go all the way small.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I have a feeling the larger of the 2 would interfere with the view of my gopro so I'll probably order the smaller one Monday. Plus, like I said it's from a local manufacturer so if I do have any issues with it I'm more likely to get it taken care of.

Got the mini screen yesterday. Had it installed in about 20 minutes. Pretty easy and straightforward. Looks pretty good. Don't think I'll be able to test it out until this weekend so I can't speak to how the wind redirection & noise will be until then. I can say it looks pretty good on the bike. Hopefully I don't hate it lol. If I do it'll probably be for sale on here shortly. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I did one hwy run with the mini screen and hated it. I don't know how those naked guys do it.

I'm NEVER on the highway. However, I do frequently hit highway speeds :D I have had a Monster and a Street Triple, both with no screen so I don't think it will be an issue. I'll find out this weekend though and report back.

Well after 120+ miles with the new "screen", I'm good with it. Only real difference is some extra wind noise, which I expected. I wear earplugs so that's really a non-issue for me. Definitely like the look MUCH better over the stock screen. So for now it stays. Now I feel like I need to get some more carbon stuff to match it. Maybe a new beak, front fender, rear hugger, side panels & tank cover? Or maybe I'll just get someone to wrap that stuff in a cf look wrap? I have some more research to do lol.

Some pics from my ride today...

Glad you like the part you got. FYI that's not the carbon screen, that's a carbon replacement for the headlight fairing on the hypermotard. The carbon screen mounts to the original hyperstrada screen bracket, and sits a few inches higher. If you find that you would like a little more wind protection, I would suggest giving it a try.

Yeah to be honest I didn't know what to call it, a screen, a cover, a fairing or something else lol. I didn't really like the look of the larger one and don't have a need for any more wind protection so I think this ones a keeper. I think the larger one would interfere with my gorpro mount/setup anyway.

I ran my little carbon front fascia yesterday. I actually found most of my fatigue/ turbulence comes from my arms on the grips, from about my biceps forward. While there's more blast on my upper body than with touring screen, there is less buffeting. Also, not a good hwy combo with the racing seat as I tend to get pushed back on the saddle without the stock ridge to hold me in place.
