MV Agusta Rivale

But it looks so good...I can't imagine it being any more uncomfortable than a serious sport bike. It looks like it's going to be very expensive.

They'd have to remove that armorall from the tires before I'd ride it, though.

Limited production run of 100 units! Included ingredients are carbon fiber and titanium so rather expensive indeed!

I wonder if it has an active fairing/screen that rises up as speed increases, because with a tweaked KTM RC8R V twin producing 200bhp (135kw) (as rumored) and all that titanium, carbon and F1 technologies this will be ultralight and ultra quick and even quicker with a bit of rider protection, otherwise it's going to be a mighty fast naked.

Coincidentally, Lotus apparently describe the C-01 as a "hyper"bike.

My wife has often said she would love a Lotus...well guess what honey, have I got a surprise for you...

Was at my local big box stealer and low and behold look what arrived earlier in the week.

Much better looking in person!!

Rivale is a sexy and beautiful bike. But its tank is too small for touring and seat height is too high for me(175cm)

I also like the mortard designs coming out. Rode a 690 Duke. Cool bike, but tiny and buzzy compared to the Hyperstrada. Still, if I had the cash and the space, I would buy one. Gotta say this MV, from a design perspective, is just trying too hard. I am sure it is a great ride. Prefer the hyperstrada

I think that MV "Turismo Veloce Lusso 800" would be the true rival for HS.
It has larger tank and side pannier boxes.

...but it is much more expensive. In Germany I think it will cost about 1500-2000 Euro more than the HS.

And thats a price where I can nearly get a 1190Adventure for.

It's sexier, but:
-3.4 gal tank and 31 mpg
-"fuel low" at 50 miles!!!
-no ABS
-mirrors suck, but that subjective and fixable

Without ABS, I don't think you can say they are that similarly priced. It's a bit more focused and brutish. I'm happy that the Hyper goes toe-to-toe, and then I can slap bags on it and do a 100 mile commute.

They certainly are copying our Strada, but dayum that is the ugliest muffler I've ever seen.

Holy Copy-cat, Batman!

It's not hideous overall. My wife would confuse it with my bike side-by-side. Seams like they're just selling every platform possible on that triple-pipe setup, which I don't particularly care for.

Got a couple ponies on us but the torque is well below ours. I read the Brutale was not that tame around town but why would they de-tune so much? The Brutale RR makes 140 hp.

I like that it has fully adjustable, and presumably higher quality, suspension. I hate soft luggage (it makes no sense at all) and I especailly hate that they have integrated the tail lights into their soft luggage. I have replaced the luggage on the Strada, and if the rear lights had been integrated, it would have been more complicated.
