Anyone running this shock on the HS? I'm exploring suspension upgrades.

Thanks!

shock

Don't know about the Ohlins. If you're heart is set on that, forget I mentioned Mupo, which is what I'm getting...

I've contacted Mupo as well. They have fork carts and an AB1 shock. Can you tell me why you went with them? I'm in early days of exploring. Read the entire suspension thread.

Ordered the Ohlins TTX36 from Fast Bike Industries (Dave). My local suspension guy preferred Mupo over Nitron or Andreani so that's what I'm going with. It will take a few weeks to get the parts. Really looking forward to the upgrade!

Thanks RSL. My suspension guy recommended the Mupo fork carts over Andreani which he said were too light? He said Nitron makes good carts but he didn't like the US support structure. So, Ohlins shock and Mupo carts.

I took RSL advice and went full Mupo. I got the racing kit with the forks and the AB1 ego shocks with shipping all for $1900. Parts should arrive in 3 weeks.

Don't think you can go wrong with either. The Ohlins shock was $1500. I don't have a price for the Mupo yet. Should find out tomorrow.

If you like, I can put you in touch with my guy in LA. He's an authorized dealer for Mupo. I contacted Mupo and they emailed me and told me to get in touch with Lemic racing and they also mentioned that if I purchase the shocks and the forks there will be a discount added to the order. Hence the price offered to me.

Thanks might take you up on it. I believe that mrp racing who is doing the install is a Mupo dealer and is sourcing for me. Will see what they come up with tomorrow.

Yeah, I wouldn't have known about the discount if I hadn't contacted Mupo initially. Keep us posted.

Mupo front, Ohlins rear, doubt you'll be disappointed. I've read a lot of threads on other forums I'm on and consistent praise for Mupo. European race techs praise it too. Some say as good as Ohlins, some say better, none say inferior.

I also know someone who is an Ohlins dealer, not a believer that Ohlins is the best. I can tell you I really doubt we could tell the difference between Ohlins and Mupo. I have run Ohlins and have a set of FG forks, so I must think it is good. I have also run Wilbers and never disappointed.

I'm getting my Mupo from the same guy RSL got his from - OnRoad/OffRoad Roger Albert in Austin TX. Great guy, know him from my Beemer forum.

Good luck...

To tell you the truth I just like the look of the Ohlins shock more than the Mupo. Really glad I'm going with the Mupo carts however.

touficzeidan can you give me your LA guys contact info? My guy hasn't been able to find Mupo carts for the 939 as of yet.

His phone number is +1 (909) 463-3164

You can also directly email Mupo and get some information at [email protected]

When I ordered from Lee, he asked me to send pictures of my forks so he can know which one it is he needs to order. I believe the 821 and 939 are the same but give him a call and pick his brain.

Turns out Mupo makes the K911 Carts for the HS 930 with the low seat (130mm of travel). Ordered today!

No from Kenny at MRP Racing out here in DC. He has been working directly with Mupo the last week to get this together. They are building the carts for me as they aren't on their normal production list. Kenny did my Race Tech full suspension on the CRF250l which transformed the bike.

Cool. My race kit should arrive in two weeks. Can't wait. Next mod is a rapid bike evo.

I can't really do any mapping or exhaust upgrades other than termi through the dealer. I bought a 5 year warranty and the dealer was specific about what after market parts I could put on without voiding. I'm happy with the stock exhaust and the 939 certainly has enough power for me.
