Probably the most fun I've had on a motorcycle

finally got the Hyper out on the "big" track this last saturday. I had a session scheduled two weeks ago, but it got rained out. took it out on the kart track instead with some supermoto buddies, but it was just too heavy for that.

started the day with 330 miles on it... breaking it in.

I've had a bunch of different bikes out on a few different tracks, including my old s1000rr on this track, and this might have been the most fun i've had. i was getting eaten up on the straights, but passing people on the brakes and in the corners was fun. I felt like i could pick a line, any line through the corners and this thing would just go there. no worries adjusting lines mid corner to get around people, it just did it with no fuss.

now i just need an 1198 motor to swap in there.

sweet ride for sure, but i think you could possibly be in the wrong area? don't get me wrong, i have a sweet spot for Hypers ( used to have the 1100s). could confuse people i think since the strada is a tad different. anyway, peace out.

looks like you were doing fairly well. Great vid looks like a lot of fun!

So you would rather me not post here because I don't have a windscreen and bags?

Ok.

Sony A7r with a Nikon 50/1.8 shooting wide open at -1 exposure and bringing up the shadows.

Photoshopped?
I have a nikon d40 and a gopro 3+ black. I shoot in auto. I have no photo skills. would really like to understand what's behind a photo like that one you took. I know content and view is important, if the sky really looked like that then there's already a wow factor.
Is that 50/1.8 lens a big contributor to the quality of that picture, or the -1 exposure or the post processing?

The 50/1.8 is just a cheapie lens. The A7r has great shadow dynamic range, so that's why it was 1 stop underexposed. Easier to bring up the shadow detail in Photoshop as opposed to bringing down the highlights. This is all done with a RAW file btw.

Being new on the forum just came across this and its mint!
I'd also say you are a good rider - Much better than me for sure.

thanks.

i need to get back out to the track... i think there is one coming up at the end of september.
