i wanted to open an own thread about the REXXER so that this does not get lost in the surging thread
So, got several files from Rexxer and tested them, with and without Lambda regulation, with and without exhaust vent.
The files without lambda solve the surging. bike runs really fine.
I have to run longer and more kilometers with them to have exact numbers, but as of now the only disadvantage is that bike uses a little bit more fuel (about 0.3 - 0.5 l / 100 km ). Thats not really bad for the improvement you trade in. But that's clear, as bike runs richer in most cases, it has to use more fuel, it's physics.
Bike runs very smooth, much smoother than original. It's not so hard on the throttle when load changes, and much smoother to drive.
I really can recommend the Rexxer tuning.
I bought Rexxer EVO user, where you get a little display with cables (USB for PC and one to connect to ECU).
First you read the original file and send it to Rexxer and from them you receive your wanted tuning files (2 are with the price of € 499 included) back.
You load the file with their PCprogram via USB onto the little Rexxerbox.
In this file the tuning files and original mapping is included and when writing to ECU you can choose between one of the tuningsfiles or the original one.
For files without lambda, o2sensors have to be disconnected, whats no problem, because the plugs are easy to find and disconnect.
I really can recommend Rexxer, the guys are very friendly and responsive, most of the time i got changed files on the same or on the next day.
Now they have a lot of files for orignal exhaust, for termignoni or other exhausts, with and without o2 regulation, with or without exhaust valve.
you tell them what you want and they send you such a mapping.
e.g. i did not want a tuning file with changed advanced ignition, as their normal tuningfiles are, so they made me a file with original ignition settings for high rpms.
Advantage of Rexxer against piggypacks and additional fuelcontrollers: you change the mapping directly in the ECU and with EVO user you can do it by your own. And you can change back to original config if you want. You do not need any additional box installed like with PCV or other fuelcontrollers and you do not need other persons to change your mapping.
Rexxer box also can find ECU errors and delete them, so the box is an OBD2 display/box also. And its small enough to take it with you on vacation to do self diagnosis in case of problems and errormessages.
I will keep you updated in any case. But, as of yet I am really convinced that the REXXER tuning is a very good option and value for its price.
