I rim taped my bike this winter and went with this https://store.tapeworks.com/6019.aspx and I got the applicator they sell. It went on pretty easily with the wheel removed, and this particular color matches the coil spring (I know -but it was kind of a bonus though), you get extra strips with the kit, and it reflects really well. Got 1/8 inch. So yes -I think it's good stuff.
