seat attachment

I have like a 4 stack of washers and I still have to put lots of pressure on the center to grab the hook. My forward left spindle that grabs the forward hooks also had to be modded to make a good seat. Kept popping off.

Securing the seat is pretty ******. But, I still say it's a very comfy stocker.

I've just ordered a 'gel pad' insert to fit into the seat, I find it the seat hard after about 100 miles, so hoping this will alleviate it a little.

I had a look at my seat attachment last night and realised the tab wasnt going under. I ended up just flipping the bracket and now the tab under the seat grabs fine. Im not sure what the right way for the bracket to be installed is though, anyone got any clue?

Sounds like it was fitted wrong from the factory.
Post a picture of how it's fitted now. The center section is raised so the seat tab can fit under it. The way you describe that yours was fitted upside down??

Exploring the site, new owner.... Here is what I did to my seat bracket.

Aluminum bar stock (1/8" X 3/4") from the hardware store. Doubled them up and the seat JUST catches it now.

I super glued them into place so I don't have to worry about them moving if I take the bracket off. Although I don't foresee ever having to remove that bracket again.

That looks great!

You take the bracket off to take tank off... for valves, plugs, air filter, etc.
