15000, 30000 etc. are all the big services. change timing belt, change radiator coolent etc

but in-between 1000km to 15000km. Your bike required standard engine oil change.

For myself I changed the engine oil every 5000km.

The services are at 15000 and 30000 km. The 15000 is an oil service and the 30000 is the desmo service (valves etc).
There also is an annual service (oil service).

All this is according the service booklet as supplied by the dealer.
It is advised to change the belts every 2 years at least or every 30000km (which ever comes first).

There was a so called transparent maintenance program by ducati, I don't think they use this anymore..... All the costs where fixed but I think the dealers protested on this.

I normally let my hyper be serviced as discribed by ducati.

Regards.

According to my manual, timing belt change is every 18000 miles or FIVE years

Valve clearance check every 18000 miles no time limit.

Oil and filter every 9000 miles or 12 months whichever comes 1st

Coolant every 27000 miles or four years

Change front fork fluid 27000 miles

Brake fluid every three years 18000 miles

Check and lubricate the rear wheel shaft

spark plugs every 9000 miles no time limit

Air filter every 18000 miles no time limit

Check engine oil level, brake fluid level, tyre pressure and wear, the drive chain tension and lubrication,Check brake pads every 600 miles six months

Everything else is the usual 12 months

Pages 205-208 respectively

What kind of spark plugs do I need for the 9000 mile change? I can't seem to find 821 hyper spark plugs anywhere online.

My dealer has no problem with me doing the annual oil/filter service. I have the tools and can adjust the chain and change tires myself. But since the fuel tank has to come off to even see the rear spark plug, I'll let them do that. That goes double for the desmo service.

Thanks for the plug listing.

I may tackle the 9000 mile service since I want to replace the air filter, too. I asked the tech about taking the tank off and he said it's really not that difficult. He did caution about the hose clamps on the fuel lines. I guess they are fragile and can break if handled incorrectly.
