Bought my hypermotard last October with 2400 on the clock. I'm at 8500 now, no major issues. Good to see the higher miles posted here as I hope to keep this bike around for a while.

I just bought a used HyperStrada with 19K miles on the clock. The good news is the big 18K service has been done. Recalls attended to as well.

Runs fantastic, using NO oil. Still learning the bikes ways with only 1000 or so miles since I've owned it. I'm hopeful it will last at least to 40K miles.

Biggest thing to me is difference between stock Strada vs my Strada with the Andriatti suspension mods. Really quite plush on our terrible, beat up rough roads. Yet still does well in 80 mph smooth sweepers. A great sport tourer bike and nice contrast to my "REAL" ADV bike .... DR650. (with 62K miles)

I just need some wind screen alternatives. Thinking of just removing the noisy thing altogether. I like clean, quiet air.

Thoughts anyone?
 
27000 miles and running fine. Finishing some winter work on it - mostly maintenance and cleaning, but putting rear P3 lights on, and finally figured out how to get a solid brake bleed. Been a great machine. Looking forward to the upcoming season.
 
Most regulars may have seen my updates on other threads. I bought my '13 Hyper used with 19K miles. After about a 1000 miles Front cylinder cam bearing froze, destroying the front cyl. head.

Repaired under extended warranty (RPM) who had to be legally threatened then finally paid the $8000 repair bill after a 4 month delay. (more than bike is worth)

Good news is bike running good 2.5K miles later. I recently installed the Clutch kit and now have a clutch that operates perfectly. (as it should have from the factory) Will worth it over the horrible, grabby excuse that came stock and Ducati called it good. Shame. :mad:

Now at around 23000 miles. Needs a clutch cable and front tire. Otherwise all good, a pleasure to ride.

Big 4 day group ride coming up in April to Death Valley. Always a good ride.
 
Wow man- glad they fixed it eventually. That's some of the worst luck I've heard. What causes such a failure?

No clear idea as to what happened. A bad bearing from factory is suspected ... but no one is talking much. Bike had just had it's 18K full service. I suspect mechanic screw up installing the new belts ... but the inspectors could not show that. If I had to guess ... it would be human error induced as the guy who did the service was fired!

This bike is going on the block soon. I love it ... but can never trust it and once the warranty is up ??? Then what? I'll be selling it super cheap. Lick my wounds move on to cheaper more reliable bike. (back to land of the rising sun?)
Ducati prices? They clearly are on CRACK! :eek:
 
50,000 miles on mine using only shell rotella T6 oil and 4000mile changes. Everything looks good on the inside!
 
25.000 km here, no issues and planning to cover, at least 2 times that distance before selling it
 
Just hit 17,000kms on mine. Not much compared to some on here but wanted to bump this thread to see what everyone else is at.
 
32000km currently. Not a problem yet, just had valves and fork seals done.
 
2 yrs old . 18000kms till now, no major issues except throttle body showing some symptoms lately, mainly got to do with inconsistent fuel quality on highways.
 
15,200 miles. Chain is toast, starter is almost dead and just started having some slight fueling issues between 4-5K rpm. But, ran fine 2 weeks ago on a 400 mile trip. Just ordered 520 chain set with 14/45T sprockets. Clutch fix, starter and valve job soon.
 
21000 miles, bike thrashed almost every ride. oil changed every 4500, only issue was a bad front exhaust sensor around 16000 miles. new belts and valve service at 18000mls.
had to replace the cheap stock chain and sprockets at 10k it was stretched and tight links even though it was lubricated every couple of hundred miles. new chain holding up way better. new clutch cable fitted.
Did the clutch mod not long ago. (much improved feel)
Heated grips failed and have replaced one and repaired the other.
doesn't use any oil between servicing, great fun on the track especially in the wet, the traction control works great.
5 years old now and still love riding it.

Jst passed 30,000 miles. Lost 6 weeks this season because of a shifter fork spring going, and waiting for ducati to send the one spring from their one warehouse in Italy. First world problem.

This is a random thing that happens with any bike - not a big deal. The machine has been very reliable and is a joy to ride. As I push harder and become a better rider, it's with me at every step.

I can think of a lot of bikes I'd like to try, but none I'd sell this to buy. But if that Indian FTR 1200 is what it could be....
 
2014 built, Jan 2015 purchase: 28500 km.
Starter replaced, lambda probe failure, all good otherwise.
