Sold my Hyper

Bittersweet day for me. I traded my '13 Hyperstrada for a new Street Triple. I'll miss the Hyper- it's a great bike and I never had any trouble with it. This forum doesn't get much traffic, but I was grateful for the technical advice and tutorials. I also picked up a few items from forum members over the years.

I kept some of the farkles from my bike and will be listing them here in the classifieds before hitting ebay. I have a Performance saddle, tank bag, custom bag liners and Ducati low carbon and high touring screens. I also have the aftermarket skid plate I took off my bike.

Sometimes I think about trading it in - the new duke 790 seems like beauty - but it'll be paid for in 3 months, and after a 4 or 5 day ride I get home and look at the damned thing with admiration. It's such a good machine.

Enjoy the new bike!

To be completely honest I haven't second guessed my decision to sell my hyper even once. It was a hoot but time to move on to something different. Have fun with the new bike!

I only want something new when I drive it over 100 miles. The people that ride thousand+ mile trips on this thing have a back and *** that I could only dream of (phrasing?). But a super touring bike would only be an addition to my stable. I have too much fun on my daily grind with it and am at that phase where I just slap a new farkle on it when I get bored. If I did swap it, it would be for another motard, like an MV or KTM. Alas, when I look at vintage Duc's that people thought were weird in their day, I feel like the 821 could be one of those "Whoa!" bikes someday.
