Good I leave a small story of how and adapted Tanklock Givi luggage system with rear support to my hyperstrada. For if it gives you some ideas and if you want to review how it is. : wink:

The first was to make a support system for this Tanklock not totter aluminum 3mm thick.

Once the anchor Tanklock design a carbon platform to catch the screws to the factory handles that brings our hyper (if you are interested for some screws M-5)

Another view of the support and grille with holes to attach them facts, I use screws Ac. A2 Stainless M-4 x 25 and washers and lock nuts.

nice work ATX! if i had access to a carbon fiber plate, i would have preferred a minimalist rack like you did, just a platform to mount the tanklock system on to. so instead, i did it first on a 9mm plexiglass (as proof of concept) which is just as heavy as those aluminum racks in the market. i since then switched to the touratech rack which is what i have now and use for the givi 25-liter and 4-liter tanklock bags

did you design and custom cut the cf plate yourself? it looks professional

Thank you very much Monstard.

Yes, I designed it myself and manufactures the aluminum and carbon. I am an engineer and I work in a company of metal and composite materials where I have access to machines and material.

Your work is very well done and professional.

Looks good.
I cant se any suport "arm" on your design.
Are you not afraid that the mounting point will break? There where atleast one here on the forum that it hapend to.

I'm not afraid to break. The case does not weigh much and arms are strong.

There´s no problem with this rack, and it isn´t going to break anything. Because its small enough to support the torsion forces generated by itself.

If it longer, you may have problems with it, torsion forces become heavier, and if you pretend to use a top case or similar, its size and weight generate higher forces and need reinforcement that supports the inertia.
It´s a perfect design for a light storage, if you don´t want to put your sidebags on.
