Sure it's not cheap, but really?

UK was £10950 so about $17660 but I had staff discount as my OH works for VWG.

Ha! Isn't that place a shat-hole! The only reason I bought my Strada where I did was because the next closest shop was in Daytona. I do like a good LM or GT3 race, though.

Just tell me you don't don leather, chaps, a do-rag and everything else with an HD logo, and I'm cool with whatever you ride. That's my biggest issue with HD riders in FL- it's not the bikes, it's the d-bags that spend more at the gear shop before they take delivery and think they're honorary members of the Hell's Angels the second they crank their hog up. The persona kills them. Half of them wear a tie and drive an import sedan during the week!

Daytona: We had hoped to visit a friend who was racing, but could not buy a pit pass. WTF? Stood in line for an hour to buy a tee-shirt at the local HD dealer, and that was plenty of time wasted. We did enjoy the trailer parade on the way from Ocala. Doesn't anyone else ride there?

I have not had to wear a tie for more than a decade, and since I lost 30 pounds I don't even have a sport coat the fits me. I do have a HD jacket, they are very high quality and priced accordingly. But I always wear a full-face helmet, jacket, boots and gloves. My Dad taught me to dress for the crash, not the ride. I can count the times I've violated this rule on the fingers of one hand.

Now, my excellent independent HD shop is about a mile away. I would not have a HD if I had to rely on the dealer. Once I took it down there for a service, on a 100 degree day, in helmet, t-shirt, shorts and sandals. I got a ration of sh*t for that! Things are different in Cali...

PS I was a member of San Berdoo HOG until the dealer ruined it. We had members that turned down invites to join the HA. We went on rides to places like Grand Canyon North Rim and Yosemite NP. They always made me lead in the twisties....

In Norway the
Hyperstrada costs 200.000 nkr. That's about 31.545 US$.
Multistrada costs 250.000 nkr. That's about 39.432 US$.
Can anyone beat those prices? :)

Holy ****-Snacks! It must be cheaper to import. Is this some bizarre economies of scale algorithm? Do you guys get a national stipend I'm not aware of? That's no way to treat the kin of Vikings.

My dealer is/was in Ocala; Melillimoto Ducati (and now MV). I took the back roads from St. Augustine area many times. Freakin' beautiful ride but the bugs get bad in the farmlands.

I'm also a Gator, so know the Ocala/Alachua area well. There's a surprising amount of hills and valleys south in the Paine's Prairie area. Big ranch and farm country. I used to love cruising out there on the weekends on my R6 back in the day.

GO GATORS!!!!

Everything is expencive in Norway.
If you compair Sweden and Norway, I would almost say that erything is its x1,5 in price.
Then again the sallary in Norway is about the same to.. x1,5.
The only time that has a inpact is when they have wacation. :)

In Bangkok Thailand my 2014 Hyperstrada cost the equivalent of $16,000 USD at todays exchange rate all in including taxes and one years insurance.

In Austria its about 15000€ - 19500$
because we have a ****** tax thats called NOVA.

Its calculated from the fuel consumption of the car or the ccm of the bike.

That's ****! This bike sips fuel, comparatively. Is Austria overrun with Prius'?!

I think you've misunderstood me,
The bikes nova will be calculated with ccm.

( ccm - 100) x 0,02 = NOVA Taxes in %
Plus the normal Tax 20% from Nova and price of the vehicle.

The NOVA of a car is calculated otherwise
I've seen that its not the consumption anymore, now its the Co2 emission.

(CO2-emission (in g/km) - 90) / 5 = Tax in %
Plus also the normal tax over the complete price and nova
