Taking your Hyperstrada Off Road

This weekend I'm hitting the upstate PA fire-roads in Locust Lake State Park and other surrounding parks and game areas. Gonna go camping for the holiday. My TKC80s will be mounted tomorrow just in time for the trip. If I'm not devoured by black bears I'll post some pictures afterwards.

This person has alot of pictures showing the countryside I'll be riding in this weekend.

Here's some vids I found. the 1st one shows the mountain I'll be camping on.

I'm super excited! I hope my 89 mile ride to get up there goes smoothly. I've picked a route consisting of mostly backroads in hopes of avoiding holiday highway insanity.

Show us how its done Mike!

Sorry my camera is junk. I'd have taken more if it wasn't.
I'd type up some details but I'm tired. Long ride with a wet helmet - the tent leaked.
I should add that the HS is totally kick-*** off road. I even taught her to fly!

Thats awesome!

Thanks man! It was a blast to go back to being a 23 y/o backwoods hooligan for a couple days.

I wrote up some trip details in the ride reports section. I'm going to make the trip again in August. This time with a bunch of local knowledge under my belt to help plan things out better.
I'll also be spending the money for a riding permit here:
AOAA FULL THROTTLE EXPERIENCE | AOAA Trails
and here:
Access Permits - Reading Anthracite Coal

I'll also make the effort to join RORR for more insider info on riding conditions in the region.

I know the lay of the land a bit now so the next trip is going to be much better. I wanted to get my feet wet on this 1st trip and get the hang of the HS off-road characteristics since I'm still a newbie. I am much more confident with her now so this will also make the next trip more enjoyable.

Now I just need to get a new tent that doesn't leak!
