What MPG is everyone getting?

Trip cpu says 39 mpg no matter how many miles I go before I reset it. Oddly, my average speed is always 39 mph as well. Of course on my old 250 that people would easily see 60 mpg on I rarely broke 40... I think I have tendency to get to cruising speed as fast as the bike will get there.

fuel consumption

In touring mode, mostly on 2 lane highways, I pretty well always get about get around 19-20 km/l, which I think translates into low to mid 50's/gallon.

Bike now has 47,000km and consumption has improved marginally since new. I would characterize my riding style as "sporty" touring, not totally flogging it but a respectable pace.

Wow that's getting up there!

On one of the new Stradas:

City: 6.6L / 100km = 35.64 US MPG or 42.80 IMP MPG

Twistys/HWY: 5.0L / 100km = 47.04 US MPG or 56.50 IMP MPG

2013 821

If the calculation of mpg on my instruments is correct, I've been getting ~57mpg, and that's with a lot of mountain riding. I've been reluctant to calculate mpg the old-fashioned way; afraid I might be disappointed ;)

this saturday, i manage 235km before the light came on, sport mode, on the mountains..

very impressed with that
