What'd you do to your Hyperstrada today?

Fitted carbon headlight fairing. Haven't had a chance to ride with it on, but I am loving the look.

Did you cut the passenger rail off or is there another way to remove it from the bag holders?

Grab rails cut off, sanded, and refinished. It looks preppy much a factory job, keeping the rear end clean but still can use the panniers. Done by the original owner, and I have regular grab rail pieces for two-ups as well. :)

Today (actually yesterday) I finally took time (and wife’s help) to measure and set the sag for the TTX NX shock I recently bought.

I was dissapointed and thrilled at the same time. Dissapointed because the spring is obviously too soft, I have 45 mm sag even with full preload.

(I specified my weight while ordering the shock and I don’t think the local representative messed this up. The guys at Andreani probably couldn’t be bothered to get a custom spring and installed a standard off-the-shelf item. For this price it’s inexcusable and I will definitely want my local rep to speak to them once their August holidays are over.)

Now for the thrill. Even with a spring too soft it’s just amazing how well this new setup bodes with the catastrophically broken roads in my country. It really makes the tarmac feel much smoother than it is and inspires much confidence, especially in bumpy corners.

I am still not sure it’s worth the price but definitely a marked improvement from the standard shock.

Definitely show some pictures when you can. This sounds like an awesome upgrade!

Sorry, missed that. Okay, so I've used this light in 4 of my bikes now. The hyper definitely has the worst throw. My wife has the exact same light and the housing projects the light 10x better. Our housing definitely scatters the light. It is 10x better than stock but I'm not going to make it out to be something it's not. If it was in a projector it would be way better, but I don't think you're going to find a better light without going into a full custom setup.

New Renthal "Superlow" bars, Neken motocross risers, removed hand guards and installed New Rage Cycles LED front signals. Overall lowered the bars an additional 1 1/2" inches (Stock spacers were already removed). Very happy with the sportier riding position.

Before and after Hypermotard rear tire hugger. Will eventually go with all carbon fiber, but for $20 I think this really improved the look for now.

Nice! Didn't realize rear hugger was longer on 'Strada. I've already changed the front fender with DP one. I guess shortening the hugger (either 'Motard stock or DP carbon) is next for me as well.

Interesting. I actually would be interested in a longer one. On my 'motard, the rear tire flings up rocks and I have had the shock canister nicked by a rock. The 'motard rear hugger looks a lot better thats for sure. Form over founction though.

I got the saddlebags replaced under warranty. The new bags are an "updated" version that are supposed to resist fading (turning blue) better. Thanks to Michael at Bloodworth cycles in Nashville, TN for making the whole process painless.
