What'd you do to your Hyperstrada today?

I bet the mirrors work better than those stockers.

What bars are those? They look like they have lots of sweep, I'm assuming theyre comfy as hell?

A little better, yes, and of course they look nice :)

Bars are Renthal street, medium I believe. I tried to find something close to stock specs as I didn't have any real complaints. These do have a bit more sweep than stock and are about a half inch narrower on each end which more or less accounts for the slotted section of the bar used by the stock guards. All for the better as you gain that width back with the bark busters.

It does feel like I lost a little leverage though unless I am over-analyzing it but on the ride Sunday it felt like I needed a little more input to initiate a turn. But with the bars angled to meet my palms evenly and plush Ourey grips everything sure is comfortable.

I've put Renthal #754 (road low) bars on many bikes, to get that extra sweep (I call it pull-back). It lets you keep your elbows in, and when you turn the throttle you twist your entire forearm instead of just flexing your wrist. This is less fatiguing and gives better control, especially over bumps.

I had that bar on our 390 Duke, but it is so short that the grips ended up way too close. I can easily lean forward enough to get my chin over the steering head. OTOH, the reach on our SV is really long and the 754s are perfect. And I put Pro Grip #714 grips on everything, safety wired.

Haven't posted here in a while. Been a busy year launching a new business, but I'm finally making a trip to the Dragon next week and getting the bike ready for it. Last order of business is throwing on a new chain this weekend.

I think since I last posted I've done the following:

Ohlins from an 1100s
Marchesinis from an 1100s powdercoated
EBC HH Brake Pads
New Rear Sprocket and Carrier
Powdercoated the Subframe to match the frame
Some sliders and engine protection
Some carbon bits

Have an SC exhaust on the way to replace the GPR and as soon as I'm back from this trip plan on sorting out the front suspension, tuning, and a Brembo master.

Lol brutal. To each his own. It's not for me personally, but it's not bad by any means. I have seen some abominations out there.

I am working on fitting a steering damper to my Hyper. Will post up pics when it's ready.

I'm curious to see how you fair with the steering damper, I've thought about it myself.

Fitted an ohlins steering damper to mine, pics on the forum somewhere.
Used Ducabike mounting and a 916 damper.

I'm using a Hyperpro style damper and making a mounting bracket. Wasn't sure if the bike really needed it so it's mostly a proof of concept before investing the $$ in a Ohlins setup.

Does anyone know if the rear brake light is the same on the 2016 hypermotard as the 2016 hyperstrada??
