Which Battery? Li-Iron? Favs, experiences?

Run mostly the Shorai batteries. Also have a couple of Ballistics. I'm told the latest have built in cell leveling in their charging, which they needed. I've bought the specific rechargers for mine, which I recommend IF whatever you buy doesn't come with it. Good luck...

I haven't read anything definitive from Shorai about cell leveling feature. My KTM has a new Shorai, nothing about balancing the cells on that one that I've seen.

Any help on this?

Can someone recommend an affordable battery? (less than $100 would be nice) I replaced it once with an Yuasa, but I'm have trouble finding which one now. Supposedly, they don't make one for a 2013 hyperstrada any longer? I have a feeling their website is wrong, but I'd like to confirm. Or alternatively, get another recommendation. Thanks in advance!

Looks like I ordered a YT12B-BS before which seemed to work fine. Now, Yuasa website indicates they don't make a battery that fits the 2013 hyperstrda. Amazon states that the YT12B-BS won't fit.

Help?

I purchased a replacement YT12B-BS last spring-no problem finding it and same as OEM

I just put one of these in my HS yesterday.

It was the only one my local bike shop had available that fit. And it fits perfectly fine.

I'm thinking of ordering this HICAP wiring kit though. At least before winter returns.

Or I might just source the wire and connectors and DIY something similar.
I used very similar OFC wire for the starter circuit on an old truck from 1967 that was a total ***** to start in cold weather with amazing results. Said truck turned over 1st try and started in the cold every time after the change. Dramatic improvement compared to how it was before.

I experienced the same warning and Amazon is wrong. The Yuasa YUAM6212B YT12B-BS Battery is the same as the stock battery.

I did my own 4 gauge wiring upgrade, with solid copper connectors, and high quality stranded copper wire. It's quite an involving process to follow the wiring down to the starter from the battery. I almost wouldn't recommend doing it, as I noticed almost no difference from stock. Just my 2 cents.
