I'm searching but I can't find the post I am looking for. Someone broke their top case mount. Who was it, and what rack and case. How much weight did it break at?

From my research I found that there is support arms for the top case. Givi makes a hypermotard specific rack that includes the support arms. The ducati performance top case includes the support arms as well. I wouldn't exceed weight limitations of the case and use that as a guideline. Without the support arms I'd just use common sense as to how much a plastic grab handle can accomodate.

I cant remember the name but remember the thread. The guy bolted a givi top box to the stock top case mounts without any support arms and it snaped. But as stated above get the givi kit with support arms and it should not be a issue. Note there is still wight restriction so don't put lead shot in there or anything.

this worries me..I have a SW Motech steel rack plate(for Hyperstrada/Multistrada) with Givi monokey adapter install..using Givi Trekker TRK46N as a top case..any yes it wobble during ride..make me wonder how long will the bike top case mount will hold until it break..I choose sw motech steel rack because it is design without a support arm..give more of a clean looks..

now thinking of making a new holes on the steel plate to place the givi monokey adapter kit a bit forward hence to make the top case more stable(eliminate wobble) during ride..will that be okay?
