The bolt patterns for a luggage rack are the same on the Multi and Hyperstradas, just keep in mind out grab rails are not as strong as the Multistrada. If you're going to strap more then 20lbs or so to the back of the bike you may want strengthen you're set up and there are a few ways to do it.

Just popping in here...what size are the screws which fit the on-board tail/grab handles? M6?

I think I have the AltRider MS rack on my Hyperstrada
I think I have the AltRider MS rack on my Hyperstrada. The bolt patterns fit perfectly. However, the rack is not set up to hold as much weight as the MS. I, therefore chose to use a Givi "Monolock" Blade Tech 47 rather than the heavier duty Givi Monokey top cases.
