I'd be interested in an $80 dollar roll of the proverbial die if we can get option 1 by September.
I'll jump on the bandwagon.
Low speed off-road starts on rough terrain ******* kill me on this bike. You'd think a v-twin would have a little more low end grunt. Anything will help it be more capable.
Okay, I finally have an update.
The good news: It's still happening.
The bad news: It's still months away.
Basically, the supplier I contacted manages to keep his prices low by doing a bulk shipment twice a year (think 40 foot cargo container full of motorcycle parts), and then distributing them here. This keeps the shipping/handling costs low. Unfortunately, it seems that when I had contacted him about the clutch he had just received a container that week.
We will be getting 2 kits in September as test units. One for me to try out and one for another person to try out. Just to verify everything is correct.
He is giving us the option to order them outside of his normal container shipment, which will add $20 to the price of the kit and must be pre-ordered 10 at a time. Thus the price would be $219. Otherwise, the initial pricing still applies and the bulk shipment will arrive in MARCH. Yeah.
Also, Italy is about to go on vacation for 6 weeks starting in August. So we would have to pre-order before the end of July.
Let me know what you guys think. I realize this is a long time to wait to save $200 now... If we still have interest I will find out how to pre-order through his eBay store.
Ok please post up if you're willing to pay the extra $20 and which option you want. He has to make the order by tomorrow so I'll tally it up tonight.
Still in. Option 2 is preferred but if he's only doing Option 1, count me in as well.
Okay he's likely only going to order full kits since we know 100% it works as a system (identical to 2015 kits). I will let you know what he goes with.
