Definitely looks like the same part broke on my bike. Odd that it took my dealer 3 weeks to open the case. They said they ordered parts today. Maybe I'll get it back in less than 5 weeks.

Is that part alloy or steel? With the way I'm guessing you guys use your 698s, I'm not surprised those pegs suffer! ;)

Looks cast. My guess is alloy, but I haven't seen it in person. The dealer sent me the photo.

Jeebus H Christ on a crutch! What the hell is that case wear to the right of buddy’s finger?

Looks to be on a radius from one of those levers above, so presumably over-extension of them due to the missing/worn peg.

Looks like the flange is an updated part. I googled looking to order a spare and

18210811B Replaced by SKU 18210812B

Hopefully that solves some of the issue.

I ordered a spare flange today from a different dealership. I have little confidence in my local dealer. I still don't have my bike back. Waiting on parts. WTF

Thanks for that update. It sounds like good news. Really hoping a better flange doesn't end up drawing out the next weakest link. I wonder if and/or when the revised part went on the production line ... and if I should be proactive about inspecting and replacing that part.

Would be great to get a report on the updated part when it arrives. Dealers and their departments are such a crap shoot, and the whole industry is definitely struggling at the moment. My dealer is an hour away. My tech is fantastic but the parts and service desk staff definitely have some room for improvement. Boom and Mountain makes me wonder if you're dealing with CS Powersports.

I don't want to name the dealer. But I've had 2 long conversations with DNA regarding their sales practices and service issues. I wonder if the slow service is retaliation for the sales complaint. Hmmmmm

Counting my blessings. My salesperson is extremely knowledgeable and very likeable ... which was a very refreshing change. I was even tempted to go back and pick up a very lightly used Hyper 950. My 2nd closest dealer is roughly a 3 hour drive and their sales team was a complete fail. A lot of dealers are tards to begin with, but finding and keeping good staff is a challenge for all of them.

Wishing you all the best in your future dealings.

Thank you for keeping us informed. This is the part as referenced above, but I haven't yet double-checked the breakout diagram: 18210812B - FLANGE

I ordered a spare 18210812B - FLANGE this week to have from another dealer. I'd rather pay to get it fixed than have my dealer take 5 weeks to do a 1 week warranty job.

The part from the 1299 / V2 is a different number. Looks similar in the diagram. It would be nice if it were stronger and fit.

Dealer said that Ducati sent them an updated flange. They are also replacing the shift linkage that interacts with the flange. Maybe I'll have it this weekend.

Part number is the same, but Ducati made this new part.

Nice looking part but I can't believe they didn't issue a new part number. I smell ethically-challenged managers, lawyers, and/or bean counters. No way any mature engineering department would EVER pull a stunt like that. Diesel gate mentality. Maybe a step up from KTM, but still not ok.
