Wow, that's some minimal tread pattern!
Not for highway use though.
Michelin Road 5 are serving me well on the 821 but they are all-rounders and don't claim super-grippy.
Lots of choice out there and maybe better choices for the 698.
I wouldn't get the tyre in the picture unless you are on track with a dirt section, there's not much point otherwise. I started to have slicks cut for me rather than buying pre-cut, as they are a pain to import here.
For the road, the track tyres never get up to working temperature. Pirelli Supercorsa is a good compromise.
Rodolfo, are you racing CMRA? I used to race with them and had a garage at MSRH. I used Pirelli slicks on my Aprilia 550 and 450 SXV's back then also. John Hutchinson is your Pirelli guy for Texas.

I think the 698 is too heavy for a SuMo specific tire. When we ran Pikes Peak on SXV 550's John recommended sticking with a Pirelli slick. I think we ran 180 rears on the 550, but I'd have to check. I run a 160 on the 698. Super sticky
I run the Pirelli Diablo IV…it lasts 2.400 km, next Diablo IV again 2.400 - last Monday I changed for the Conti Attack SM2. The tire is very stable, super precise, very transparent, sporty and very handy. Love it!
What tire pressures do you run on OEM tires at the track? Mine are brand new and I just put them back on, but I have a track day in a week and don't want to switch back to slicks.
