Hi

My experience from Ducati original Brembo brake pads on my previous bikes, Monster and Multistrada, is not so good. On both bikes I changed nearly at once to EBC HH pads. Recommended by the dealer when I complained.

I did a small research a couple of years ago and found this:

The EBC HH has 50% higher friction coefficient than Brembo TT (Ducati original). And you can really feel a big difference.

I will change to EBC HH when I can get them.

Hmmm.. i have good experience with brembo brake pads on my hypermotard evo. At 21000km, there was still alot of meat and the stopping power was excellent as well

Please provide review as soon as you can

The Brake Pads has arrived :D
Assembly done.
Test next.

EBC HH review

Today I took the HS on one of my favourite roads in the near area, 60 km, to test the new EBC HH pads.

Better grip in both front and rear brakes, I say about 50%.
Normally I am a little afraid of good grip on rear brake, but with ABS no problem.
Front brake has good grip as soon as you squeeze the lever, with just two fingers.

No brake noise so far.

All, I assume you dont have to remove the caliper to change the pads - right?

I have that awful brake noise and want to deglaze this weekend.

More and more satisfied with the change from Brembo pads to EBC pads. This was a really good choice. :):)

Did you suffer from the infamous brake noise under heaving braking?

No, not yet, if ever.

I will soon go to Norway and drive 2000 km on really curvy roads, up and down, right and left.

We will see after this trip.

My dealer contacted EBC in the US who doesn't have this part for the Hyperstrada??
Is it a Euro only thing ya think?

The EBC brake pads works perfectly. No noise.

My contact with EBC importer in Australia is similar, they have rear pads in the country but wont have front pads for some months. I ordered them from the UK online.

The brake noise and brake shudder I experience is "acceptable" per Ducati warranty claims. The service tech and manager claim its all due to the brake pad compound used in our bikes so I've go the EBC's on order to hopefully resolve the noise and the shudder.

Just wanted to say thanks to StefanR.

After 2300 miles my HS brakes were showing all the signs of noisy warped front discs. Followed Stefans EBC pad recommendation and all issues fixed and far better front brakes. Not sure how to change the rear pads, do you need to just remove the rear caliper or also split it.?

JamieK,

when you say "noisy warped front discs", were you seriously getting that 'oval/not round wheel warpage sensation when coming to a stop? I'm currently fighting my dealer on warped rotors issue.
