The previous owner said his dealer told him they needed replaced after the exhaust flapper came loose and was fixed under warranty. The o2 sensors should have been covered too but he never did it and it wasn't discovered until he drove off then the warranty expired.

I am not sure how that flapper cable coming loose could case the o2 sensors to go bad... but I did read of other cases of this on ducati.ms and I called his dealer, they backed up the story. Adding new sensors immediately fixed the light and I have driven 150 miles error light free.

As for where I got them? I pulled them off of my HS and brought them with me. I do need a cheap source on new ones so if anyone finds that... let me know... they are $315 each from Ducati... more overpriced junk.

If the old ones could be cleaned or something, that would be preferable.

How did yours go bad? Did you try cleaning them?

I've had A LOT of cars over the years and even at 300k+ miles, a bad o2 sensors is very rare. 9 times in 10 when you get an o2 code its actually the catalytic converter which is bad (on a car)... so how are these ones so ****** compared to industry standards? It floors me.

Made it back. 2,100 miles of riding. Overall, it went well. Rode the hills East of San Diego, Rode Rt 2 through the Angeles National Forest, Rode 395 up to Mammoth Lakes then on to Carson City then Route 50 across to Utah. Best part of the ride was Route 50... no people anywhere for miles and miles. Had a little tire debacle in Salina Utah, spent $400 on a tow up to SLC then took ROute 40 across to Steamboat and back to Denver.

Lubing the clutch cable fixed the issues with 1st gear starts.

The Supercorsa SP tires SUCK. Had to get a tow into SLC from Route 50 because the tires (that had about 2,500 miles on them) were showing cords. Got a set of Angel GTs which ride real nice.

If anyone is in SLC and needs work done, go to Moto Station. I cannot recommend them enough. Very competitive pricing and competent Ducati techs. Way better service than Erico Motorsports here in Denver.
