chain adjustment

So I've spent the last 1.5 hours reading about adjust chain tension on these bikes. So I've adjusted chains before on other bikes and I gotta say, Ducati really does do things differently than I'm used to! The good news is that it looks like this is an easier process!

Anyways- so I understand the process of how to do it now. But- I can't wrap my brain around measuring it. A must be equal to 59 divided by 61. So that's .96721311 mm? And you measure the chain length from center of link to the aluminum part of sidearm. And this measurement is supposed to be .967 CM?? I gotta be missing something here.

That makes sense. Apparently that symbol for me means "division". Also- just to be clear, you don't measure the movement of the chain. You measure it in it's static position: center of chain to bottom of aluminum part of swingarm? I apologize for all of the newbie questions. On previous bikes, I'm pretty sure I always measured "how much" the chain would move vertically. (or the amount of play)

Measure the distance from the swing arm to the center rivet of the chain. Do it on the sidestand. Find the tightest part of the chain and use that portion as the place to measure.

Use a torque wrench. 31nm. You'll also need a short extension to reach the pinch bolts.
