Can someone clarify chain tension, can't make sense of manual, doing as per manual I'm getting a tension of 65mm,can't figure out the 59÷61 ?

The chain slack depends on whether you have the standard bike or the factory-lowered version. If the swingarm is angled sharply downwards as may be the case with a raised ride height, you need more slack or the gearbox bearings will wear out. Others will know the various measurements as per the topic "821/939 HS height difference".

pardon my dyslexia but do you mean you have 65 mm of chain movement and you don't understand the "59÷61" to mean a tolerance of between 59 to 61 mm's? I have no idea why it's written that way with the division sign but elsewhere in documentation it is written in such a way that it indicates a tolerance and I believe you should read it 59-61 mm. If you have 65mm of play, depending upon your mileage/usage/and a buncha other stuff, it would appear to me as though you have to tighten yer chain due to chain stretch. I can't tell you if that amount of play may be too much but some people consider the lifting the chain off the sprocket a definitive means of determining if your chain is worn. See this link

Yeah 65 mm of chain tension measured as per manual, didn't understand the 59÷61 ,as dividing the two numbers makes no sense to me ,I do understand measuring the chain slack to be between 59/61 ,manual explanation made no sense tome, thanks for clarification

For some reason, the link i tried to add in my previous post doesn't work. Here's attempt #2 LINK

Cheers for that, chain and sprockets are fairly new,but just done a 1200km ride last week in ****** weather, so cleaning lubing and checking ,/adjusting chain
