They are working an engine sump guard as well!!

What purpose does the muffler shroud serve? Kinda looks like an 80's club ensemble. Bike is still ****

Its for saving the muffler from rocks and yes, it definatly make sense when you drive offroad.
When you saw your first muffler which is full of rock-hits then you will know what I mean.

Then stay out of the dirt...

A lot of people spend a lot more money on "dirt bikes" the 1200GS comes to mind...

Whatever floats your boat I suppose. But for me it totally kills everything that makes the Hyperstrada so appealing. I would buy an 800 GS and be done with it

My dealer is Bellevue Ducati and was asking them about the header guard. It comes from AltRider and the one in DB picture is for the Multistrada 1200 which fits the Hyperstrada. My sales guy is their test pilot for developing these products with local suppliers like AltRider.

Universal Header Guard AltRider

Legit.

The ABS light shouldn't flash when disabled. Steady on would be OK. Flashing should mean something's wrong. It desensitizes you to any additional lights that might pop.

Flashing is ABS disabled with menu function
Steady light ABS enabled but NOT functioning (problem)

tried to copy pdf file from electronic manual but it wont recognise file type, so you will have to take my word for it. page 23.

I have turned mine off on several occasions and it flashes at you all the while to the point of annoyance at least the traction control is only intermittent...

No, no. I've read the manual and deactivated ABS several times. Aircraft - military aircraft, at least - follow the form that flashing = bad; steady = acknowledged/cautionary. Red is usually for catastrophic/death; yellow for possible harm/damage. Regardless of color, they flash until you've fixed it or acknowledged it.

Summary: It should not flash if you've deactivated it manually.

Gatdammit, you user manual must be different to mine and the one downloadable off the Ducait website.

Flashing is when the 'pilot' has disabled the ABS from the multi function display panel on his/her Ducati not their Mig or stealth bomber or F22 Raptor.

Please post a photo of that info from your user manual!!!

I'm saying the system works as designed. Design is flawed, in my opinion. If I disable a system, I don't need a flashing light reminding me I did. Steady would be better as flashing for extended period just becomes a distraction that rider may eventually ignore. So, now you're ignoring the caution panel and another light pops up.
