Denali Switch Eliminator Plug DIY

Was wondering if some of you tron wizards could confirm I can do this. I'm mounting a set of Denali D2 2.0 lights (w/ DataDim controller). I want to use the stock high-beam switch to control intensity (vice dedicated on/off that comes with kit), which requires a "Switch Eliminator Plug"...that I didn't order. Looking at the switch eliminator, pretty sure I can make one from the included on/off switch (the switch eliminator replaces this connection).

In the attached picture below, you can see they just jump 2 poles and leave the high-beam tap. Am I smoking crack or can I just make my own?

I tried making my own and it did not work. I don't think I hosed up the simple jumper but they're full power only. All the Italians drive with their brights on so not a huge deal and bikes get a pass on just about everything. Guess I'll order the stupid $10 part...

Hi, I fitted these lights a few months ago and wired so that the duel intensity works via the high beam switch, I didn't buy the switch eliminator plug either and just used a jumper too I'm sure I just cut the red and yellow wire and soldered them together. I'm away from the bike for a few weeks working, so from memory, one wire to the the headlamp dip beam and another wire to the headlamp main beam. ( they are only signal wires to the controller which supplies power to the lights.)
Did you also fit the DataDim controller. ( I take it you did)?
Great lights by the way..

Mentalist, yes DataDim installed. I hesitated on the eliminator purchase, not because I'm good with trons but because it looked stupid simple. I wired low signal to tail light and high signal to high beam. I did a pretty clean job on the DIY eliminator and soldered the red/yellow like you.

All the leads and circuits test good but its just constant on high. Not the worst case but ill dig at it more soon

The tail light is only same as front side light, you need to tap into the headlamp low beam and the headlamp high beam wiring
