I'm scratching my head a bit. I'm assuming this replaces the twin hyper moving forward? Also (starting at) 13k USD...

Much as I like single-cylinder bikes and Ducati's should be outstanding, I can't see them dropping the twins which would leave this standing. It's a shame I'll likely never get to try one. But then I certainly don't belong to the demographic of those in the video, being 50 years too old!

Yeah for $18,500 for the RVE edition, Termi's and DWC it is steep. Nonetheless a fantastic looking bike! Cannot wait to see these in the US and hope to see more on this platform.

I'm sure you could move a few bikes over and make room for one of these, Nick:)
And with your helmet on, we'd never guess your age!

Thanks for the encouragement Alan but I can barely move in the garage now, even if I could justify the expense! My good lady has been nudging me to move some of the bikes on for ages but it hasn't happened yet.

It'll be interesting to see if the ride reviews confirm the impression that this is a hooligan screamer of a bike and not meant for mellow rides in the country. Not that the HS is quite that either! Maybe when used versions start to appear...

:D Clearly wifie doesn't appreciate what a milestone engine this is and how your collection is incomplete without it!
It does look more of a 'hooligan screamer' though, as you say.
I don't think it will convert to Strada like the twins.

A few more initial reviews. None of these are my videos BTW..

Most of these are amateurs..

While impatiently waiting for your bike, read the owners manual here :D

From seeing other Ducati OM's, I was fully expecting -
"Have the chain tension adjusted by a Ducati Dealer or authorised Service Centre."

But it's the first time I've seen -
"Have drive chain cleaned by a Ducati Dealer or authorised Service Centre"

The next new model OM may say; "Can only be ridden by a Ducati dealer or authorised etc. . . ."

Well, it's a mucky old job so I'd be pleased if someone else did it! As Alan says, it's amazing the manufacturers think we can be trusted to even ride the things.

Official press launch videos. No one is going to complain and risk losing their next invite.. However, it does look like they had tons of fun!

Picked mine up a week or so ago and have logged few hundred miles on it. Fun bike! Can't wait to add a few tasteful mods and of course, the exhaust system. Really impressed with the comfort at commuting and around town speeds as well as the "kick it provides" in the upper rev range.View attachment 1000068753.jpg
