Great, I’ll have to check that out thanks! I’m hoping that after 8 years they would’ve updated the trouble part.

Well the dealership got my Hyperstrada back together with new gauge, coils and spark plugs only to call & tell me it runs worse now then it did before. Now they think the ECU was in fact harmed from this Christmas Tree effect. They contacted Ducati & once again they stepped up to the plate and provided me with a new $1500 ECU. I got an email today saying the bike is running great. Ducati paid for $4500 in new parts and I picked up the labor cost $526. Will I buy another Ducati in the future? I absolutely will. It was an inconvenience but this company definitely catered to the customer and stood behind their product. Thanks Ducati!

I just finished the Eldor coil swap on my 2013 Hypermotard. It probably took me a lot longer than it should've. The first hiccup was making a mess of my crimps (didn't have a crimp tool, had never crimped anything before) and having to wait on new pin connectors. Once I had new connectors and a brand new crimp tool, it was fairly smooth sailing. I used Araitim's detailed photo write-up for removing the fairings and the tank (Starace RSR velocity stacks 821/939 install). and dragoontwo's write-up on the Eldor coil install (Installing Aprilia(Eldor) coil packs). While I had everything apart, I also put on new farkles and a new HP Corse EvoXtreme high mount exhaust. I lost about 4 hours of time when I somehow managed to lose an exhaust bolt INSIDE of the swingarm...but with a quick trip to Canadian Tire for some magnets and the help of my wife's dainty fingers, I was able to recover it. I was worried about riding the bike after reading so much about this issue and am glad I can put it behind me.
