Flashing fuel light and ABS light staying on at idle (hunting)... Anyone seen this before?

Hi guys,

Had a very strange one the other day on my 821 Hyperstrada...

On my way home from work the bike started hunting at idle when stopped at the lights. It then stalled a couple of times when the fuel light started flashing (had plenty of fuel) and the ABS light stayed on (again at idle - no brakes).

I haven't been able to repeat since but want to make sure it doesn't happen again and strand me somewhere. Anyone seen this before. Video below:

Thanks!

the flashing fuel light indicates a faulty fuel level sender or a problem with the wiring to it. mine went bad right after i got it.

There's a suggestion of a different wiring fault (tail light) on that thread too.

Could your ABS light have been on because you restarted but had not moved? (As it does below 5km/h)

Check the charge rate with a multi-meter, you may find its charging very high (In my case 18v) Had the same flashing lights a month or so ago, new regulator fixed it (aftermarket regulator)
Don't trust the bikes in dash voltage gauge, is it showing 14v by chance??

It only happen when the bike was hot, stopped at lights and the fans were on at the same time. Maybe the reg gets hot and fry's its self. This is my third voltage regulator.......same symptom every time.

Did you fox your bike? What was the problem in the end?
