Footpeg problems

Hey guys,

over the saison I recognized that there is a strange noise coming from the back of my bike. At first I thought it would be some metal part but then I realized that it is gone when I get the rear footpegs out.

When I went to my dealer he ordered a new pair of pegs cause he thought that the spring of them were too old.
But then he realized that the hole, the footpegs are mounted in, was getting bigger and was too big so they won't fit right anymore. They had to change the whole footpeg holder, which would cost a lot if I would not have guarantee left.

So does anyone else already have had this problem? The only guy from my town I know in personal which is driving a Strada has the same problem ;-)

Ducati told me that they can not explain this - it would be fail construction that this happens and they told me, that it will happen again after such distance with the bike because of the vibrations.

I rarely ride without music playing in my helmet. The first time I did couldn't believe how much the front of my bike rattled and buzzed, but, never had a bike that didn't. Besides, twins are relatively violent compared to inline 4's.

My rear pegs are always stowed and have never been used. Occasionally I unfold them when washing around that area by accident. The spring tension is still good but they always rattled a bit around the pivot point.

I found my left hand-guard must have chewed up a bushing where it attaches near the windscreen. I've never had that bolt out and can't tighten any further. It's has a couple mm's of play.
