'Lo guys.
I was just wondering: is the front mudguard long enough to keep debris/water/mud etc. from your engine/radiator/exhaust pipe etc.?
I mean, my 996 scoops up quite a lot of water...and the HS/HM have an even shorter one.
As far as I can tell, there are no extended versions nor extenders available.
Looks like there's no market for it...?

Am I just an over-worried cleaning fetishist or does the front mudguard do a decent job?

The mudguard protects the radiator, however it doesn't help the exposed horizontal cylinder cover or the exhaust. Get the Evotech guards or possibly another option to keep the debris off those components.

Anyone know who does a plain black one? Don't fancy starting down the carbon route...

I'm not into (much) carbon, either.
But hey, these things are not too expensive so I reckon a cheap can of matt spray will do the trick quite nicely.
There are loads of types available and I wonder whether they are REALLY for 1 type of bike or not.
I think it's worth a shot to buy one for another AND cheap type (CBR anyone?) to see how it works.
