Fugly, funky or functionally cool?

I really liked the larger handguards on my older Multistrada so I quickly knocked these out on my Hyperstrada. Looks? Not too bad, at least to me. Works? Fabulous! Especially noticeable still air pocket around the hands, and no buffeting at any speed. Definitely warmer in the cold air this time of year. What do the Hyperstrada faithful say?

Looks like you put a normal piece of plastic at your handguards...
Sorry but i prefer frozen hands than this look at my strada =(

By the way the photo is very small - can you upload a bigger one? Maybe it looks better than expectet

+1 for bigger pic, please!

I didn't have to splice anything. These prototypes use 3 small L-shaped aluminum brackets riveted to the handguard extensions at one end and to the original handguards at the other. Once I replenish my hardware selection I'm going to switch the rivets to 4mm phillips or allen bolts & nuts that will allow a little more wiggle room for a more perfect fit. I'm also still finalizing the shape, starting fairly large as you see in this pic, and working down to a more pleasing shape as I go. I'll see if I can post any larger pics. So far they're a really nice improvement in weather protection. It's always fun to tinker on the bike!

Oh ok I misunderstood I thought you put Multistrada hand guards on not just added the Multi extensions...
