Gear indicator

I installed it than users guide says, in a front fuse box, a red/black wire. It`s working fine.

Regards

I got mine Glpro DS today. But I can't see if it's the C06 version. How can you find out if you have the C06 firmware?

Kind regards
Dag

I got help from HealTech

It's best to read out the firmware code from the unit:
- Connect the unit to the diagnostic connector
- Turn the ignition ON
- Touch the GPDS Red wire to battery positive terminal. The display starts counting (showing: 6, 5, 4)
- Remove the wire from battery when the display shows 4 or 3.
- Repeat this 5 more times.

The firmware code will be displayed in Cxx format.

I had also difficulties in installing the Gipro gearindicator. I ordered the Gipro ds d02 at a motor webshop here in Holland, they sent me the indicator and I start to mout it on the Hyperstrada.
Everything seems to go alright until I tried to learn te indicator in a ride but this went wrong. After long search and contact to Healtech which has a Super service (mail answers during the weekend) It came out that I had the wrong version Firmware C04 in stead of Firmware C06.
The webshops which are selling this product have no idea about Firmware, so send me the wrong indicator.
I contacted the webshop where I ordered but that became a serious problem because they did not understand the Firmware discussion.
HealTech came with the solution to send it back to them and then they would send me the right indicator.
I maked the package to Hungary an mailed that it was on it's way.
They shipped at the same time in full trust already the new one to me.

WHERE DO YOU BECOM SERVICE LIKE THIS???
I AM REALLY IMPESSED HOW THIS ORGANISATION WRITE SERVICE WITH CAPITAL S.

Now I am waiting for the new one an installation will be quick done.

Again thanks for HealTech.

Our bike uses the DS Series and it has to be on the new firmware (C06).

Hello, I'm Frank from Germany.
I know my english is terrible but I have some questions:
Where is the Service plug ? Can you show here some photos?
Where is the Display mounted? Can you show here some photos of your solution?

Thank you very much.

Hi Frank,
If you go to post #31 in this this thread you will find photos and a description of how I did it. I note that others have found the red/black wire in a front fuse box (I think you need to take the side covers off) which is different from how I did it but is in accordance with the instructions supplied by HealTech.
Hope this helps.

searching for another "power wire" that is activated by ignition.

When i connect the Gipro power wire direct to a RED power wire off positive terminal on battery it works fine, its just on all the time.

Maybe Ozzie Hypers dont have power in red/black wire at rear fuse box ??

Baz,
As indicated earlier in this thread, I connected mine to the power wire of the rear powerlet accessory socket. I used this wire as it was accessible and switched through the ignition. I also soldered the connection rather than use a connector. From memory, I needed to add a section to the Gipro power wire to make it long enough to run to this location.
I have had this fitted since September last year and it has performed faultlessly. I posted photos and tried to desribe the process earlier in this thread.

Thanks for the advice.

I have it working 90% - after sorting a blown fuse.

It counts up and down the gears now BUT it cant identify 2nd Gear. It stutters and then shows 1st instead of 2nd.

Not sure what to do next - i have sent an email to Healtech support - hopefully they have a suggestion to cure my problem: (

How much does the GPDS-D02 cost and where did you all get it from?

TIA,
Eric

Got some prompt advice from Healtech - reset the Gipro and took a little more time to allow it to recognise each gear and it now works perfectly.

Good product and good support from Healtech.

Today Fixed up the heal tech gear indicator. Works beautifully! The wires and stuff have been designed for the bike. No extension needed!

Bought from ebay!
