GP shift issues, ducabike rear sets

The ducabike rearsets are supposed to be able to be set up GP shift style, but the linkage scrapes on the shift arm. Is there a special part I'm missing?

Stupid problem for the price.

I would upload a pic, but a cell phone pic is too large a file size for the forum. Lol.
 
This app makes resizing extremely easy. They come across very clear on the forums too

Yes. Then I also need a longer bolt. Easy enough fix, just wondering if there was something wrong with the way I have it set up, as it's not supposed to require anything extra for GP setup.
 
I paid the price thinking I wouldn't have to sort anything myself. Dukabike prices themselves as a premium company, but it seems like they have some technical difficulties. I've heard of issues with their Öhlins damper mount as well. Seems like they are plenty good at single part pieces but struggle when it's anything more complicated. Which is crazy, because all the Chinese suppliers are good at exactly the same thing, for a fraction of the cost.

Maybe I'm just venting a bit. But for what they charge, I don't expect to source extra parts to make it do what they say it does.
 
I totally understand. They cost alot of money, they should be able to do what they advertised without issue. Did you ever get the ducabike and RSV side by side and compare?
 
I really like DB parts; however, my biggest issue is trying to decipher compatibility of their stuff. It was a chore gathering the correct stuff for the hyd clutch swap, and I still had to swap a part mid build.

I have talked to their customer service a couple times. Now, there is a bit of google translate fog but they have always been really good about getting me answers. Once they respond via the web template, the replies are pretty quick. I'd factor in the GMT+2 timezone.

Have you tried flipping the gear control lever (circled) 180º on the gear shaft.
This should move the bottom rose joint away from the shift lever and may give you enough clearance...

I'm going through some **** with my RSV order...after 3 months I contacted the seller (all shipping times in my area are very, very slow from C-19 and somebody mentioned slow shipping from Thailand). Yaaaa, it never left because DHL doesn't ship to FPO. I read all the shipping notes and it said nothing about no FPO/ APO/ PO service. And he never said anything to me. I may have solved it by using a DHL Service Point, but communications with the seller are slow and poorly translated.

If they weren't half the price of next cheapest option, I would have outright canceled. Unfortunately, since I dumped my bike a couple weeks ago I'm screwed until I get the rearsets.
 
Shifting the shaft mount 180 will probably have clearance issues with the engine case. There's a significant unusable adjustment area because of case clearance.
 
LOL shifting it 180* gives you a normal shift pattern, standard shift, not GP, that's how I had it set up before. The actual black lever its self can't be flipped because it's not a flat piece. Only option is to space it out. So buy the extra parts, figure it out, and it's been working fine, no clearance with the sprocket cover though. No issues other than disappointment that it doesn't work as advertised for the price. Ducabike, get your **** together. If you charge premium prices, make sure they work as advertised. Other than that, they are great.
