How would you recommend wiring this? Picture

Hey guys, I decided to install a SPOT Tracker (LoJack). I'm not the best at deciding how to wire things though so wanted to ask you. Need to know where to put the red and black wire from the Tracker. My best guess is to put the red wire underneath one of the 7.5 fuses and the black wire underneath the screw for the black wire on the battery. Would that work?

you mounted it wrong. Theres a clamp for the rubber left.

What do you mean by "Theres a clamp for the rubber left." I don't understand what you're saying?

You have to instal a silver (metal) clamp there to stretch the rubber - otherwise the battery is too loose and the contacts could touch some parts of the frame.
Like it was at my strada and they had to change the whole electric

Why would I have to install something which didn't come on the bike to ensure it doesn't blow up???? Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense to me. I've ridden 1,000 miles without any issues.

Would really appreciate it if someone could answer my original question so I can get this baby wired up.

Okay sorry. In Europe it is normal that the rubber gets stretched again so the battery can not move a millimeter. Maybe it's different in other countrys.

I wouldn't mess with the bike electrics, that fuse could belong to a sensitive circuit. You better run a separate wire with it's own fuse directly to the battery. Use a 2 Amp.

Doesn't this thing have the option to run on batteries? From what I remember it can run about a year on its battery and sends a warning email when the battery runs low. With this method all you're talking is velcro to an inner fairing.

The problem with running it off the bike is that all the criminal has to do is disconnect the battery and you're out of luck.
