Anyone here with a sump guard that they have painted to go with the rest of the bike?Just contemplating doing that to mine and wondering how it would look.

Perfect. Do you have the Evotech Performance engine guard? The one that goes below the radiator? If so, I'd love to see pics of the three guards all on the bike together.

Here you go....the rad guard is fitted by removing the two allen headed set screws on either side of the rad and the head guard is fitted with two allen headed set screws. It took about 15mins to fit both.

It's been raining all day which means I was bored.. so I decided it was time to replace the forearm reflecting OEM mirrors with some CRG 2" Blindsight Bar End Mirrors. Slight modifications had to happen to the CRG mounts, but it was pretty easy. Best of all, the bike isn't any wider than it was with the factory mirrors, the width it just lowered slightly.









Oh, and you may have noticed but I also flipped the factory mirror mounts upside down, so it doesn't collect water in the now void mirror holes.

Thanks its a 12-13 mile road to a beautiful lake up here in anchorage. The hyper makes it easy to laugh at the suggested cornering speeds. love my bike!

I really like the bar end mirrors you have Zibbit. you said you had to modify them a bit. what was involved?

As I said it was pretty simple.. The CRG mount shares the same hole in the handlebar as our handguards.. So, easiest solution, remove the problem metal.. or should I say interfering material.



Once that metal is gone, you reuse all of the original mounting hardware with the addition of the CRG mount added to the stack-up and tighten everything up again. A little note with using the DP Racing Handguards, you still have to cut a notch in the CRG adapter to clear the casing flash marks on the handguards so they lay flat against each other.. believe me it'll be easy to see once you get things side by side.

I really enjoyed a day with CA Superbike School at our nearest race track, VIR. It started with lousy weather - check the waves in the water moving through the tech insp. area at 7:30 am... but it stopped soon after and didn't rain again until I was close to home, late at night.

I had just had Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires fitted - I was told we needed 90% or better tread for the track day, and well that's same as "new" isn't it..?...
I am sure they will not last for that many miles, but wow, I had absolutely no idea that tires could be this sticky... Bad part is I can't make any kind of power slippage happen with these (not yet, anyway), where I did that routinely (and loved it) with the Scorpion Trail tires.. but, the Good part is, it feels like I could climb a wall of glass with the Supercorsas, just amazing traction.

last inches of asphalt..... I went onto the concrete curbing repeatedly in this particular turn, but managed to hit the apex more cleanly this time..

and then... up the hill in the back was a fun section, as was coming down again to the beginning of the start/finish.. I really enjoyed the elevation changes... also, turn one is sooo long.. it's fantastic - you don't get any turns like that on the street around here - if it's that long/sharp of a bend, there's always an obstruction and you can't see ahead...

If you are not familiar, I can highly recommend CA Superbike School - top notch staff, great instruction and very well organized. And they do track schedules all across the country, so you don't have to fly to Cali...

Recently did a 10 day road trip of about 5000klms. Travelled from Sydney to Warwick and then onto Childers. Spent a few days in Hervey Bay and then came down the coast road. Road Tweed Valley Way, Waterfall Way to Armidale and then back to the coast via the Oxley Highway.

Had the Hyper fully loaded and camped most of the time. The 30l Kriega bag carried tent, sleeping bag, small pillow and airline blanket. Tired to the rear is the 3/4 self inflating mattress. One side bag carried tools, lube, wet weather gear and thongs....the other was cloths, personal items and snacks etc.

Bike ran like a champion and was flawless....I'm really inpressed!

Nice!, any notable bike roads/areas you came across on the way? I cant wait to get out on mine on a longer trip, thinking of heading down to the snowy mountians over christmas/new years.

Tweed Valley Way, Waterfall Way and the Oxley Highway. Let me know about the snowy trip when you're back from Tassie....

I'm also planning to do Thunderbolts Way and the Oxley again on the weekend of Nov 14/15.....will also do the Motorcycle Museum in Tamworth.
