With it being in the same ballpark as a Hyperstrada, thought it would be interesting to hear some views from the community.
Arguably we are prime candidates to be interested in such an offering, those wanting a new 'strada but not in the form of a multi...

Will anyone be enquiring upon a test ride I wonder?

Think I would have to see it in person to decide on appearance, definitely more 'modern adventure' vibes.

I'm confused, doesn't the 'T' in 'SMT stand for touring? This just looks like a SM rocket, and an ugly one at that. Why bother with the high front fender? Where do you hook the panniers on? I guess i'm just old.
 
KTM are not really plugging it's touring capabilities.
I'm sure it's a decent, capable bike but seems pitched more toward the Hypermotard sector.

Other than listing some topboxes and tank bags in the "power parts" luggage looks thin on the ground. Be disappointing if no standard pannier support.
They're definitely ignoring the T in the SMT marketing for sure, odd as there's already a Duke for those not wanting any touring options... then the Adventure if you want to pretend you're going offroad with it, which does at least have luggage etc.

Fully agree on it being much less attractive than Hypers though, rather stick some luggage on a 950 and make my own 'strada if I wanted a new bike.
