The wife and I are going to test ride a Hyperstrada this week to see if it might be right for us. We have owned and ridden many Sport Touring bikes and have a 2005 BMW R1200RT now. We are thinking about downsizing to something a little lighter, the Hyper just might be it.

The Hyper is certainly a much lighter proposition than an RT and of course there is none of that characteristic BMW flywheel effect that you either love or not; as big fan of engine braking I have always found it a bit unsettling when riding my mates Beemers, I guess you get used to after a while.
Might not be as much seat to go around than on the RT, but if you option in the Top Box then your pillion will at least have a back rest.
Enjoy the test ride regardless and make sure you check out the Nicky Hayden clip of the Hypermotard SP on you tube just in case your inner hoon needs feeding.
