Hi guys,

Just purchased a "new" hyperstrada "˜13.

Here's a pic:

She has 12.000 km on the clock.

Did a few checks yesterday, rear brake did not engage at all, flushed the lines and fixed the brake lever to the centerstand with tywraps overnight to get all the microbubbles out and it's grabbing great now.

First testride is a fact and boy, I love this machine!
(Only rode in urban mode for the moment, want to get a feel for the bike first before releasing its full potential :))

This is my other bike:

(Hyperstrada is the daily now)

Looking forward to my adventures on it and learning more about it on this forum!

Wow, looks like you have 2 sweet rides! Welcome to the club, I'm sure you'll enjoy your Hyper.

Nice bikes. Dig the John Player Special graphics on the Jap bike.

I could be wrong but I think you bought a HyperMotard SP looking at the frame, forks and rear shock. However, it does have the bags mounts and center stand.

I love my Hyper too...

Yup, that's a Hyper SP with lots of 'strada bits. Looks great.

For the rear brake, make sure you disconnect the caliper and rotate it upside down to properly bleed the air out. The lever trick won't last forever.

My papers say "Hypermotard/Hyperstrada"

anyway, very happy with my Hypermotard SP - strada conversion :D

As I come to think of it, it does have the 2x 12v ports, even the one in the frame and it says "Hyperstrada" on startup. So guess it's a Strada to SP conversion..?

Thanks for the tip bout the bleeding, I'll give it a go.

Huh. Pretty extensive conversion then - it has the SP fork, shock, fenders, handlebar, and even magnesium valve covers. Let's see some more pics! Are the engine covers carbon fiber?

Yea the more I look at it, it's a Hypermotard SP with all the 'strada farkles. The only weird thing is that the dash says Hyperstrada. It's possible it was reflashed, or has a dash unit from a 'strada.

+1 red frame (Motard only) was my first clue

Thanks for your replies!

Does the HM also have the 12v ports or is this HS only?

It does have the carbon engine covers.

Some addons were made in the meantime:
