Non Termi exhaust avoid waranty?

My local dealer says that if install Akra (for example) I loss the warranty for the bike... Is this actually true?

Any modifications can void warranty, including but not limited to someone installing their own exhaust, regardless if it's a Termignoni or Ackrapovic.. Keep the factory silencer so if you have an issue you can swap back.

If you dig into the fine print it seems the warranty can only be voided if they determine that the modification actually contributed to whatever the warranty issue is. That could require some verbal boxing with your dealer if it came down to it. Keep your stock exhaust. Keep all of your stock parts. I hate when people mod their **** then sell off the stock parts, esp. when I am looking for a used bike.

I was told by my dealer that a slip on would not invalidate warranty.

If your aftermarket slip removes the cat, then the flow characteristics of your exhaust would be significantly changed... Which means any motor failure could result in your dealer denying warranty.
