Hi y'all! Bare with me please. This is the 1st bike I buy in 28 years, and my 1st Ducati ever.
I recently purchased a 2015 Hyperstrada 821. Included under the seat is the OEM tool bag that includes a dual screwdriver (Philips & flat head), 4 allen keys (#3, #5, #6 & #8 - #4 is missing), a socket wrench spanner key, and a plastic fuse remover. Are there other tools that come with the OEM tool kit that I'm missing? Are there other allen key sizes missing besides the #4 (like the #7) that I might need in a roadside emergency? What is the socket wrench spanner key used for? What additional tools do you guys recommend to add to the tool kit that are deemed essential to have on-hand?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome Terry. An interesting choice of bike after all these years!

It's a very small toolkit, isn't it? All that you are missing, I think, is a small 8mm/10mm open-ended spanner. You will need big spanners for the wheel nuts and a C-spanner for the rear too, but they stay at home for me. Others will likely chime in with their opinions!

Cheers,

Nick

Interesting indeed! I never imagined I would end-up with this bike either. It's a long story that I might tell another day! Thank you for your reply! Very helpful indeed! đź‘Ś

Get that 4mm socket - you'll need it to remove fairings and they never included it. There's also a 24 MM wellnut behind the fairings that you have to hold while removing an allan head. I just took those off with no detrimental affect. It makes working on the bike a little easier. I also carry a tire plug kit and an electric pump, and a small jump starter.

That's the answer I was looking for. You're an ace!
Ride free!

I seem to remember grafting wings onto those fairing nuts so I can hold them without a spanner. I must check, as it was a while ago...
